Park at Rosemount playing fields at the end of Island View Road (not available if there is a football match on). Launch the kite on the playing fields and walk out through the gate with the kite in the air (can be dangerous if the wind is gusty) This spot is very tidal and can be completely dry a few hours after high tide. There are submerged rocks within approximately 20 meters of the shoreline most of the way around the spot. Much of the bay is waist deep for two hours either side of high tide and the water can often be flat, so can be a good place progress.
